Schwinn Protocol 1.0 Men's Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike Nice Bike
This is a sweat bike. My only complaint is the pedals are too close to the ground. Riding on trails they hit the ground when crossing a slope. Other than that its built very well.

Cool Bike
The Schwinn Protocol 1.0 Men's Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike arrived in perfect condition, in a big box with all parts assembled except for the front wheel, pedals, handlebar and seat. Assembly was very quick and it took me less than 20 minutes to assemble the whole Schwinn Protocol 1.0 Men's Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike. The only tools that I needed was a ratchet handle with hex bits, one philips screwdriver, and an air pump to fill air in those tires - Nothing else. I had to tweak the rear breaks by a bit, and also had to adjust the spacing between the two disk pads on the front brakes. Oh yeah, the handle bar stem which was turned inside to make it fit in the box had to be turned to point outside.

The Schwinn Protocol 1.0 Men's Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike overall feels sturdy and smooth while riding. Also the paint and decals look great!

The front gear shifting works like a charm - without any issues. I did notice that the rear gears do not move that smooth from high to low, and sometimes it requires a double shift on the trigger to change gears. Im not sure if I need to tweak the settings to make it run perfect.

As of now, I am pretty pleased with the purchase!!! Only time will tell if it would live up to the Schwinn reputation! Schwinn Protocol 1.0 Men's Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike

Schwinn Prorocol 1 bike
The bike is generally a good Schwinn Protocol 1.0 Men's Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike, but like many other bikes, even higher-priced ones, the wheels (rims) are the weakest point. In my case, the rear wheel was out of round (radius variation) as well as wobbling (side-ways variation) causing a slightly bumpy ride and the rear wheel hitting the brake pads.

The cause is sloppy assembly and inadequate quality control. It is unacceptable on a new bike. Fortunately I know how to fix such problems. The wobbling is the easy part to fix, but the out of round defect requires removing the tire and the tube, them loosen all the spoke nuts, adjusting the radius, and re-tighten all the spoke nuts while at the same time maintain consistent radius and zero-wobbling.

I would advice potential buyers to require that the wheels are inspected, and corrected as needed, when placing the order Schwinn Protocol 1.0 Men's Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike.

BTW, I purchased my bike through Schwinn Protocol 1.0 Men's Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike.

Mongoose Status Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels)

Mongoose Status Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike Good Bike For The Price
I found this bike on Amazon for what I thought was a decent price ($50 cheaper compared to everywhere else) so I decided to get it. Mongoose Status Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike arrived on time and was in good shape. I'd say it took around 20 min. to get it out of the box and assemble it up properly. As soon as I started riding it I noticed that both the front and rear brake calipers were rubbing against the disc and were making a horrible noise. After a 15 min. adjustment I had it back up and running again and it has worked fine for me ever scince. Just don't buy a $300 Mongoose Status Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike expecting it to perform like a $1000 bike, because it wont. However, for all the features that you get, and with a little adjusting here and there I think that this is a good Mongoose Status Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike for the money.

Not bad for price...but plan on doing some work
I bought this Mongoose Status Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike new from my local store on sale for $180 dollars. I figured a full suspension, aluminum frame Mongoose Status Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike with disc brakes for $180 was a deal I couldn't pass up. I wish I would have.

After taking it home and doing an initial setup on the bike (adjusting suspension droop, brake pad clearances, etc.) I took it out for the first ride. I use the Mongoose Status Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike primarily as a commuter, but take it to the local trails on the weekend. The bike preforms as expected on the streets, but the rear suspension was a little weak for my liking. The bob while pedaling hard uphill takes away a lot of your power to the ground.

After my first ride, I got the bike home and did a second check on it (mind you, this is still the first day). I am meticulous with cleaning and checking my bikes after every off-road session. I found the rear derailler was loose. I took it off of the bike and found that the Mongoose Status Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike shop that assembled the bike did not use any lock-tite on the bolt. This is not a problem with the bike, but the bike shop. I decided to check all of the fasteners on the bike...same problem.

I have now had the bike for about 5 months and it is serving me pretty well as a daily commuter. I have found that as long as I do the maintenance on the Mongoose Status Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike, everything is holding up pretty well. The problems that others have had with deraillers not working and brake rub have not been an issue for me.

So you may be thinking, why did I rate the Mongoose Status Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike a two? Pretty simple, really. The weight of the bike and quality of the components leave something to be desired. I have had to replace all of the bushings on the rear linkage twice in the six months that I have owned the bike. Since I have only gone off-road with it three times, this is more often than I should have to replace them. The rear seat post has a tendency to slip down slowly no matter how much you tighten the clamp. I replaced the seat post and clamp and now have no problems. The seat that comes with the bike is uncomfortable at best. I changed that to a Sette saddle (not one of the big cushy seats) for a more comfortable ride. The rear wheel hub is weak. If you buy this bike, plan on upgrading that as quickly as possible.

Even though I only paid $180 for this Mongoose Status Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike, I have now invested well over $300 in maintenance and/or repairs. I would have been better off getting the Cannondale hard tail they had on sale for $350. Oh well, better luck next time.

Great bike
This bike was the only one that had everything I wanted (dual suspension, dual disk brakes, Shimano EZ shifters) and was under $350.00. I looked at other review, and people were comparing it with $1000's Mongoose Status Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike... That's not even close to fair.

Anyway, if you want a bike that has really good parts, a good setup, and cheap, this is your bike. So far, I put a few miles on it and it is really awesome. Suspension, brakes, tires, weight, everything is better than I expected based on the price. A good exercise: compare it with those $300-$350 bikes you see at Sports stores and you'll realize how better this Mongoose Status Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike is.

Only one con: despite the easy assembly, the front derailer came totally out of alignment. I worked it a bit (I'm no expert), but I will probably spend some $ in servicing it.
2nd review (06/01/09): there's a slight change from the Mongoose Status Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike you see in the picture and the one I received. The holes in the frame where is installed the bottle support face down. This is a problem, since once you have it with a bottle and the front suspension goes down a 1 inch the front tire hits the bottle. Not the end of the world, but I would change my review to 4 1/2 starts if possible.

Pacific Stratus Men's Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) From Pacific

Editorial Reviews
Product Description
Get off the beaten path when biking in the great outdoors with the strong>Pacific Stratus Men's Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels). The Stratus is equipped with steel mountain frame geometry, along with sure-stopping front and rear steel caliper brakes. The strong>Pacific Stratus Men's Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) Torque Drive 15-gear thumb shifters, meanwhile, help you change gears quickly while on the move. Other features include a mountain handlebar and stem, a one-piece MTB crank, and steel wheels for control and durability.

The price is excellent. What I wanted was something for my 8 year old to get used to the idea of shifting and being able to climb those steeper hills. The good news is my son loves it. Here are some problems to look out for.

It is not shipped well. Pacific Stratus Men's Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) comes in an unprotected box and arrived at my house all beat up and was missing a small plastic plug that fits in the top of the front suspension. The box had holes in it, so no telling where that ended up, anyway it could've been much worse. The rear derailleur was slightly bent during shipping. The brakes Pacific Stratus Men's Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) needed adjusting and a good bit of assemply was required. You need to be a bit of a handyman to put it together.

Also, for shorter riders (like my son) the top cross bar is too high and you can't adjust the seat enough.

I went down to the new 'Dicks' sporting goods store to check out their bikes after I bought this off amazon. 'Dicks' had a Diamondback with these features (minus the dual suspension which really isn't needed for a kid) for $89.00 and it was much, much better quality. I was really kicking myself for not spending the extra money, because it was much safer bike to. My son had a pretty bad wreck because the Pacific Stratus Men's Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) failed coming down a hill (he was fine, but it scared me and twisted alot of the bike up), this was mostly due to my poor brake adjustment and he was new to handle bar brakes. Anyway, that diamondback is also much better to adjust for different heights and is especially good for shorter 12 year olds. Plus that diamondback had excellent shimano components for durability etc.

Well, Pacific Stratus Men's Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) if you really can only spend $89, this is a good bike, but for the extra $70, you can get an awesome bike that will last for many years.

Pacific Evolution Women's Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels)

Pacific Evolution Women's Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels)Beautiful Bike, but missing parts on arrival.
I just got this bike yesterday, and overall it was easy to assemble, though the Pacific Evolution Women's Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) allen wrench required wasn't included in the shipping contents as they usually are. Luckily, I had one that fit from another item I had purchased in the past. When I got to the Pacific Evolution Women's Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) handle bars after getting the rest of it together, I realized that I was also missing a few nuts and washers that helped lock it in the proper place to make steering the bike possible. Kind of an important detail, don't you think? Hopefully I will be able to find what I need at a hardware store or bike shop. It is a beautiful Pacific Evolution Women's Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) bike, but the seat is pretty hard as the last reviewer mentioned, so I would definitely recommend getting a gel seat. I was just disappointed to see that something so important to the Pacific Evolution Women's Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) assembly was missing. Can't get a better deal than I did on this bike though. I would still recommend it to others.

Great bike!
My mom bought me this Pacific Evolution Women's Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) bike for a college graduation present and I really love it. I do a lot of off road/trail/mountian biking as well as just riding in town, and it has great traction and is an overall comfortable ride. The only thing I didn't like was that the seat was extremely hard, but I easily fixed that with a new gel one. Now it feels great. The Pacific Evolution Women's Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) instructions on assembling it were a little confusing but my dad is great with things like that so I had no problem there. Overall it is a great bike and I would recommend this bike to anyone.

Very hard seat
This Pacific Evolution Women's Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) was very easy to put together as most of it was already assembled but the seat is terrible and hard so if you get this bike order a gel seat along with it. The Pacific Evolution Women's Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) really is a great value even with the wretched seat.

Pacific Outdoor Wilderness Series Trail Tamer Mountain Bike

วันพฤหัสบดีที่ 6 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2553

2 of 5 stars not for the Pacific Outdoor Wilderness Series Trail Tamer Mountain Bike bike, but for the advertisement.

This bike was purchased by a co-worker of mine and I was recruited to assemble the bike.
(Assembly was very easy. Pacific Outdoor Wilderness Series Trail Tamer Mountain Bike Only need slight break adjustment)

HOWEVER, the bike is not as advertised, not a 21 speed bike.
HINT: Take a look at the picture, there is no front derailleur.
7 gears on the back, 1 on the front Pacific Outdoor Wilderness Series Trail Tamer Mountain Bike = 7 Speed.

Great Pacific Outdoor Wilderness Series Trail Tamer Mountain Bike bike, but horrible advertisement
I bought this bike via Amazon.com for my son's 8th birthday. I was a little apprehensive not having seen the brand, but I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. It was packaged well and was assembled in about 20 minutes. The derailleur was perfectly calibrated and the brakes required only minor adjustment.

My son absolutely loves this ride Pacific Outdoor Wilderness Series Trail Tamer Mountain Bike. He can finally keep up with the rest of the family on the flats and gear-down when he gets to the hills. No need to push his bike on most inclines. The twist-shifter is a bit stiff for him, but I suspect that it'll loosen as it wears.

The quality of the components is on-par with cycles costing double and it weighs MUCH less than his old single-speed, no suspension bike. It also gives him plenty of room to grow into. I expect several years of use before he needs a replacement.

Great buy Pacific Outdoor Wilderness Series Trail Tamer Mountain Bike at $168 and free shipping
It was not difficult for the father to assemble. The 8 year old grandson likes it.

Pacific Chromium Women's Dual Suspenstion Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels)

Pacific Chromium Women's Dual Suspenstion Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels)So I got this bike because it looked really pretty and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a bike, though I love Pacific Chromium Women's Dual Suspenstion Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) to ride and my last one got stolen. So I got it fast and everything seemed ok but when putting it together, the handle bars (where you insert them to connect them to the bike) seemed to be a little out of line and I had to use a tool to hammer the metal to the perfect shape in order to fit in the insert for the Pacific Chromium Women's Dual Suspenstion Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) handle bars. I eventually go it to work and that was ok. Also for some reason the other day when I was riding (I have had the bike for close to a month now and everything seems pretty good so far) but the Pacific Chromium Women's Dual Suspenstion Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) pedal fell off. And I know I put it on there securely because it has been good for a month of riding, but it fell off in the middle of my riding, so I was a little disappointed in that. I love the bike, the color, and I cant afford another right now so I hope that these minor things won't continue to cause me trouble. Overall, its a good Pacific Chromium Women's Dual Suspenstion Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) bike.

Excellent bike for the money. Great shipping and customer service. Very pleased with all aspects of this transaction. Thank you .

Topeak Road Morph G Bike Pump with Gauge

วันพุธที่ 5 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2553
Topeak Road Morph Store
I have Topeak Road Morph G Bike Pump with Gauge found this pump very useful and portable. Attaches to the bike frame with the supplied flexible mounting. I like that you can screw on the mounting, if your bike frame has that capability - or you can "soft" mount it using the supplied other mounting hardware. They even gave a little instruction booklet for the mounting.

Also nice is the Topeak Road Morph G Bike Pump with Gauge fold out foot rest and extension tube, which make for an easy pumping action. And of course, the handy little pressure gauge.

The only reason why I gave this 4 stars, not 5, is there was no manual for newbies like me to refer to. So here's an attempt at a how-to.

First - remove the usually black, Topeak Road Morph G Bike Pump with Gauge plastic cover from your tire valve - so you should be looking at a metallic, threaded valve assembly.

Next, figure out if you have a presta (narrower) or schrader (wider) valve on your tires. To figure out which you have, google for images.

Then - adjust the Topeak Road Morph G Bike Pump with Gauge pump head (or tip) to match your tire valve. My Topeak shipped with the pump head set for presta valve. I quickly discovered my tire valves were schrader, and not compatible with the pump. After some googling and head-scratching, I finally figured it out. You have to take apart the pump head assembly and put it back together the same way as given in the picture on the packaging. DOH. Gently unscrew and take off the little metal cap on top of the pump head (tip). Then gently pull out the black rubber piece inside, and the metal nozzle. For the Schrader valve, make sure the larger opening of this black piece is facing outward. The small opening of the rubber piece should be facing inwards, and should fit over the narrow end of the nozzle/metal piece. Having flipped the assembly, push it all back into the pump head, then screw the cap back on - and presto ;) you have a Topeak Road Morph G Bike Pump with Gauge Schrader compatible pump head.

Next, loosen the cap on the pump head part-way, let it sit on the tire's metal valve. Press down a little bit so that the valve goes into the tube a little bit. Then, counter-intuitively, screw the cap back up into the head assembly.

Now push the black lever at Topeak Road Morph G Bike Pump with Gauge the back of the pump head so that it snaps into place at a 90 degree angle to the plane of valve.

This procedure gets you a tight join/seal between the tire valve and pump head. You are ready to pump!

To disengage, I found it easier to first unscrew the cap on the pump head till it came off the pump head and dropped onto the valve.Topeak Road Morph G Bike Pump with Gauge This way there was less leakage when I unlocked the lever, and pulled off the rubber piece from the tire valve. I am sure there are better ways - but this should get you started :) Also, for more expert bikers, please comment on this little how-to with improvements so we can benefit. Thanks!
The key feature of this pump is that the pump head is connected to the main pump by a short section of rubber tubing. This lets you put the end of the pump on the ground after locking the head onto the tube valve. Then, you can use your body weight to do the pumping as with a floor pump Topeak Road Morph G Bike Pump with Gauge, which is nice if you've got skimpy arms like me and need road tire pressure (100+ psi). A short, plastic foot swings down so you can use your foot to keep the bottom end of the Topeak Road Morph G Bike Pump with Gauge pump from slipping as you pump Topeak Road Morph G Bike Pump with Gauge. I'm a bit worried that this foot or its hinge will break, so I try to be careful not to stress it when I'm pumping on pavement, but it's held up fine after over a dozen uses. Finally, while the gauge doesn't seem to be super precise, it's definitely good enough to be confident that you've got the right amount of pressure 'til you get home to your floor pump. As a year-round, carless commuter, I'm happy I found this reliable,Topeak Road Morph G Bike Pump with Gauge well-designed pump and have recommended it enthusiastically to other cycle-commuters.

Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike

Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike
Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike The Schwinn Prelude is a lot of bike for $199. The wheel hubs are aluminum (not stamped steel) so the bearings will stay tight and roll smooth with little or no maintenance. The cranks are aluminum, with replaceable chainrings. The rims are aluminum, in the international standard 700c size (not the old 27" size). Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike The frame is aluminum, just like more expensive road bikes. Aluminum parts are lightweight, do not rust and should provide many years of trouble-free service. Those are all "must have" features. The 14-speed (7 x 2) thumb shifters are simple to operate while keeping your hands on the bars. Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike The Shimano Tourney derailleurs should provide years of trouble-free service.
However, I was disappointed to see that the frame does not have threaded holes (braze-ons) for mounting a cargo rack or fenders. Also, the stock saddle looks a little slim for some riders; but is easily replaced (I recommend a Terry Liberator or Velo Plush). Conclusion: This is a capable road bike, worthy of upgrades. The lack of rack and fender mount points limits its usefulness for commuting (though handlebar bags and seatpost-mounted pannier racks are decent options). I estimate that the Prelude will comfortably fit riders from 5' 10" to about 6' 2" (I only saw one size offered). Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike If you are in that height range, looking for a great deal on an entry-level road bike, give this one a try. By not having the overpriced Shimano STI shifters, you'll save hundreds of dollars, and you'll hardly miss them.
First off I do not give this bike a 5 star rating based on how wonderful it is. You need to spend Several thousand dollars for that bike. This gets a 5 star rating because it is not several thousand dollars yet it is an acceptable entry level road bike. > cheap Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike

Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike At just under 28 pounds it is 10 pounds heavier than a $4000 bike. Of course it is only a pound or 2 heavier than a $500 bike. And I argue that anyone riding an entry level bike has that on their own midsection anyway. Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike If you are new to cycling you can get this and ride for a year before investing the big bucks while you decide if you like cycling and what you like and don't like about a bike.

I bought Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike mine directly from Target (on sale!) so I could get an idea of the size rather than buy on line. I noticed another reviewer said Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike a person 5' 10 - 6'2" would be comfortable. I somewhat agree with the top end but I am 5' 7 3/4" and am comfortable on it. The seat post could still be dropped an other inch and a half but I would say that I am about as short as you could be to have the right body to bike geometry. Someone 5'6" could ride it but I would not recommend it. I would say the same for someone 6'2".

I have put 300 HARD miles on it. I bought it to train for my come back into triathlons (My last tri was in '87) but I have wound up using it as my daily driver pulling my 2 daughters in the bike trailer 280 of the 300 miles.

I store it the garage but it has been aloud to get wet frequently on rides. The dérailleurs have begun to rust as a result of wet conditions.

It has only had one problem since I bought it - the crank bearings began to click. This probably is a result of pulling 100 pounds regularly.

Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike These bikes have a LIFETIME warrantee on parts!!! - I called the 800 number in the owners manual. They sent me a new bearing set and I installed them. The down side of this is that if you don't have the tools you are in need of paying upwards to $50 for this repair.

Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike If I continue to ride it next year I would upgrade the apt yet clunky bottom of the line shimano derailleurs. I would probably also get a lighter seat and possibly seat post or pedals.

EDIT Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike
I have had it a year and 4 months now. I have decided that though it is rideable at 5'8" it is too big for me. I also have become too competitive in triathlons to ride a low end bike. I have upgraded to the Schwinn Prologue (about 4 times as much $$$). The Prelude has given me no mechanical problems after releasing it from trailer pulling duty. It has a little less than 1000 miles on it. I did 2 triathlons on it 13th overall / 190 in my first and 2nd overall / 104 and in the next -both were age group wins. So you do not need a $4000 bike to compete.

EDIT 2 I have had this for 1 year and 11 months. Because I bought the new bike I haven't put a lot more miles on this,Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike but it has continued to do well with no further problems. I also realized the stem has a height adjustment. After moving the handlebars down and moving the seat forward this thing really fits my 5'8" frame well. I put some new tires on it because I was upgrading my other bikes. The 700x23 schwalbe tires are a big improvement. I also replaced the rim strips with cloth because the cheap rubber protectors were shot allowing the rim to puncture the under side of the tubes.
have had this bike for a year now, trying to use it on the occasional 10-mile commute. I can say the following things after putting it through at least 500 miles:

sizing - I am 5'10 and it was just fine.Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike The geometry is comfortable, and the ride a little stiff but bearable. It is very fast because it is so light (for this price range), about 24lbs.

brakes - barely adequate, quite spongy. Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike The calipers flex so it is hard to put full force on them. This works fine at low speed, but if you're trying to slow down on a big downhill going 40mph, its going to be a little scary.

drivetrain - rear = good, front = bad. It is impossible to tune the front derailleur so that it doesn't throw the chain and rub like crazy. This is because of 3 reasons: a crappy derailleur, a chainring that isn't quite true, and a loose bottom bracket (pedal bearings). I think the bottom bracket got loose over time, and I don't have the tool to tighten it back up.

wheels/tires - great! They arrived pretty straight, Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike and I trued them just for fun. I have had no problems at all with them.

I must add that even though many components are aluminum, it still has lots of steel parts that will easily rust if left outside, just like any other bike.

Overall, you get what you pay for. This bike Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike has a good frame/fork but pretty low quality components that will wear out in less than 1000 miles. I would only recommend it for occasional recreational use that wouldn't hit that kind of mileage.

GMC Topkick Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike

GMC Topkick Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike Phenomenal bike! That is all I can say, especially for the price. Ideal for casual riding. This bike however came with instructions and was purchased from Dunhams in Michigan for about $200.00.

Pros: Stylish, Appealing, both aluminum and steel build, and the full strut suspension system gives it a comfortable ride. Disc brakes are very nice, too!

Cons: GMC Topkick Dual-Suspension (applied to stock build only) After long rides the pedal-bearing hub assembly becomes tightened, very difficult to pedal forward until you reverse-pedal. The rims are too narrow and the high knobs will cause the tire to twist making it difficult to ride sideways on concrete slopes at 45 degree angles or more, The rear suspension system makes is difficult to buy accessories such as a rear tray or basket, The rear derailleur causes the chain to "jump" only GMC Topkick Dual-Suspension during high speed/heavy torque conditions (rear derailleur=7 front=3)

Overall: BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK. It's a beautiful bike that grabs alot of attention everywhere I go.

Facts: GMC Topkick Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike I am solid, 200lbs 5'10" from Michigan, GMC Topkick Dual-Suspension Ride bikes an average of 4hrs/day, in harsh climates/terrains, (Mich. area) and daily commuting 7 days/week. I'm tough on bikes, and haul groceries with my trailer attached to it.

Schwinn Loop 7-Speed Folding Bike

วันอังคารที่ 4 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2553

Schwinn Loop 7-Speed Folding Bike As the "5 star" Schwinn Loop 7-Speed Folding Bike rater said, the bike seems to come damaged in the mail. One of my wheel rims is bent, the bike shop tried to "true" it, but it creates a little wobble when riding. Unfortunately a new wheel is 40-60 dollars.

The BAD:

The actual bike is made and china, and thus has some cheap parts. I've had the bike for about a month, and have foreseen numerous repairs that will eventually have to be made.

The bike also has a cheap gearshift, and even after it being adjusted by bike professionals it still jumps somewhat.

The folding quality is poor in that it will take you a good 10 minutes to fold it up. You also need to buy some bungee cords to hold it together after it foldedSchwinn Loop 7-Speed Folding Bike.

This bike is extremely heavy for a folding bike. At least 40 pounds. Not buy if you will have to carry the bike for long distances.

The paint chips very easily.

THE GOOD Schwinn Loop 7-Speed Folding Bike:

Brakes (once adjusted) work extremely well. I guess the better make sure you aren't going to die on it.

It rides very smoothly when the gear shifter is working right. Very maneuverable.

The heavy frame is a Schwinn Loop 7-Speed Folding Bike detriment in carrying it, but comes in handy having a tough frame for a general solid ride. You don't really feel like you are riding a toy bike. It also protects from bends when transporting. It even has a derailer guard to protect it from getting bumped.

The seat it comes with is of extremely good quality as well as the handlebars.

It comes with a carrying bag, cheap Schwinn Loop 7-Speed Folding Bike but should last a little while at least.

Conclusion...

I paid 215.00 including shipping (well 230, since a tune up cost $15 which all bikes not sold from a bike shop need), which i feel was a far price considering this is a cheap beginners folding bike. However, Schwinn Loop 7-Speed Folding Bike I would unlikely buy it again.

I would rather pay the $440 for a dahon that is lighter and faster to fold. Dahon also offers a 16 inch wheel bike that is even more versatile as well as offering full size bikes that can be folded, some of which are tough mountain bikes.

Schwinn is nothing to scoff at, and that is why I passed up all other folding bikes on amazon. None of them (maybe minus one name brand) were worth even taking a second look at.

I would really like to give the bike four stars, but I can't solely because of the heavy weight, time consuming folding, and cheap derailleur. I can't give it a 2 because the bike is still worth the money rides nicely in general.

I would not, and have not taken the bike Schwinn Loop 7-Speed Folding Bike on a bus due to its heavy weight and bulky size even when folded. However it is effective on the BART or any bullet train situation because of more space.

I have written such a long review because i have had a month to test ride this thing and I feel it is my duty to inform consumers of my experience.
>
Schwinn Loop 7-Speed Folding Bike

If you can spare the extra change get a dahon, but if you are tight on cash then go ahead and Schwinn Loop 7-Speed Folding Bike get this, but be aware that you do not have a folding bike. YOU HAVE A BIKE THAT FOLDS Schwinn Loop 7-Speed Folding Bike.

Shorewood Women's Cruiser Bike Attorney

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott held a Shorewood Women's Cruiser Bike Attorney Shorewood Women's Cruiser Bike Attorney press conference Monday to announce that he had met with attorneys general from Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida to talk about how to protect their states’ threatened natural resources, coastal businesses and taxpayer money after the explosion and British Petroleum oil spill in the Gulf.

He said the attorneys general were briefed by BP and the Coast Guard.

Abbott said Texas assets have not been threatened, and the state is unlikely to participate in a lawsuit unless things change. At this point, he said, he wants BP to reimburse the state for his trip to Shorewood Women's Cruiser Bike Attorney Mobile and for long-distance phone costs.

The oil spill “is expanding from a significant ecological” disaster to a “tremendous economic” one, Abbott said.

“The attorneys general are working together to ensure the environment is protected, that coastal businesses will be properly compensated, and to make sure taxpayer dollars will be adequately protected,” he said.

He said he would make sure BP is “living up to its commitment to pay all legitimate claims arising out of the oil spill.”

Right now, he said, there is not yet measurable impact on Texas.

But he said his office is Shorewood Women's Cruiser Bike Attorney “investigating and evaluating the extent to which other parties may have culpability,” naming Halliburton and Transocean, both of which were involved in the drilling work.

“If the state of Texas is not damaged and taxpayers in this state are not impacted, then we’d have to carefully evaluate if it’s appropriate for Texas to be involved in a lawsuit,” he said.

He said authorities would monitor the Texas coast for oil tarballs washed up from the BP spill.

When asked how authorities would Shorewood Women's Cruiser Bike Attorney determine whether they were BP spill tarballs, he said they would watch out for a higher incidence of the tarballs when determining a cause-and-effect relationship.

Thank you for reporting on this issue. Texas is at risk of becoming the nation’s radioactive waste dump. What started out to be a site that would take waste only from Texas, Maine and Shorewood Women's Cruiser Bike Attorney Vermont is now being opened up to the whole country, and as many as 36 states have no Compact Agreement - and nowhere to send their radioactive waste. So guess where it could land? The Shorewood Women's Cruiser Bike Attorney Compact Commission can and should limit waste to Compact states. Kryptonite Kryptolok

Filed under: project milestones Kryptonite Kryptolok Milestone: Exterior Completed!

After months of hard work installing vapor barrier shields, siding (fiber cement boards, aluminum panels and coated cedar) and metal roofing, the exterior is finally more or less complete. Here are the latest pictures on how the house looks like as of April 2010 — Click on the thumbnails for larger pictures.

Of course, we don’t stop here, there are still a lot more work to be done on the exterior — including concrete driveway, front porch/canopy, gutter installation and landscaping just to name a few. Meanwhile, the interior of the house are progressing well as well. Check back often for our continual updates!

Milestone: Framing completed!
After a few weeks of hard work, framing is finally complete! Our house framing consists of structural insulated panels (SIPs) for walls and roof, combined with some portion with traditional stick framing.

Siding will start soon and I’m sure the house will look a lot nicer (and more like the original rendering) when siding is complete. Stay tuned for more pictures later!

Green Concept Home Received Recognition & Funding from “Built Green”
Great news! We are delighted today to learn that our project has been selected by King County/Seattle Built Green as a grant receipient under the new 2009 “single-family home” category! Based on fulfilling the required green building criteria, our project will receive financial support from Built Green. More importantly, our project will be used as a case study and be featured in future Built Green publications. Very exciting opportunity!

The King County/Seattle Built Green incentive provides funding for remodel, single-family, townhome, and multi-family residential and community development projects to help offset the cost of certifying and designing innovative green projects throughout Seattle and King County. Grants are funded through the King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks, Water and Land Resource Division and Solid Waste Division, and by Seattle Public Utilities.

This year’s focus is on Kryptonite Kryptolok water conservation and the impact our development has on the health of watersheds throughout the Puget Sound. Please check back often for updates on our project!

Milestone: Foundation poured!
After clearing, grading and site preparation, our foundation is finally poured today!

We are using 30% fly ash concrete mix Kryptonite Kryptolok which is considered to be more environmentally friendly. Why? It is because fly ash is a residue from coal combustion; by using fly ash in our cement mix, we are actually converting waste into useful material. In fact, research has shown that by adding a controlled amount of fly ash, the strength of the concrete mix can be improved.

That sounds pretty good, Kryptonite Kryptolok doesn’t it? Well, the flip side of that is that with the higher content of fly ash, the concrete does take longer to cure (which means taking longer for your construction project to complete), so it is still not a very common practice for most constructions to be using such a high content of fly ash yet.

“LEED for Homes” green certification program recognizes the sustainability aspects of adding 30% fly ash to concrete foundation mix Kryptonite Kryptolok – you can earn points towards the certification.

News Release: Ground Breaks
Ground Breaks on Innovative Demonstration Home
Kryptonite Kryptolok To Showcase Green Products and Technologies

(Bellevue, WA) — September 9, 2009 – An innovative green technology demonstration home called “Green Concept Home” broke ground today at the Greenwich Crest neighborhood in Bellevue, Washington. “The Green Concept Home” project aims to build an environmentally friendly and sustainable home to increase public awareness on green products and technologies and to encourage more green buildings in the future. The project will strive to be green without sacrificing functionality, comfort, style and cost.

The “Green Concept Home” is a two-story 2,840 sq.ft contemporary single-family home. Designed, built and owned by David Huang from Modus V Studio Architects, the Green Concept Home is the first single-family residence in Bellevue registered under the internationally and nationally recognized “LEED for Homes” green certification program. The house will also work towards Kryptonite Kryptolok regionally recognized Built Green and Energy Star green certifications. The home aims to minimize energy and water consumption while maximizing comfort for its future residents.

The project will be thoroughly documented during design and construction via project website www.greenconcepthome.com. There will be educational tours with the building industry during and after construction. Public tours and educational presentations will also be arranged after project completion in late summer 2010.

The home will consume less energy with its numerous green features. The exterior walls will be constructed of Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs). SIPS are pre-fabricated wall panels with high insulation value that will be assembled on site, greatly reducing framing construction time. The house will also take advantage of the southern sun exposure for maximum day lighting and passive heating. Solar hot water heating, heat recovery ventilator, radiant heat flooring, ENERGY STAR metal roof, windows, appliances and lighting also contribute to lower energy costs. This use of these various features can reduce up to 60% energy consumption from a standard home.

A 1,700 gallon underground water cistern will be installed to collect rain water run-off from the roof and foundation drains for indoor water use such as toilet flushing and outdoor irrigation use. Low-flow water fixtures, water efficient clothes washer and dishwasher, pervious concrete and low maintenance drought-tolerance landscaping also contribute to lower water costs.

Recycled and/or savaged materials, materials with longer life spans and materials from local production are used whenever possible — including bamboo flooring, recycled-content countertops, recycled-content siding materials, wall panels and metal roof. The project also aims to send at least 85% of its jobsite waste to a local recycling facility to Kryptonite Kryptolok minimize overall Kryptonite Kryptolok project carbon footprint.
